adjectives – What does “canonical” mean? – English Language & Usage Stack Exchange

As a basic accepted standard,followed or then written throughout English in various forms or applications,giving a different meaning in retro spec to each applications rule.
Cononical as in how to manage groups of widgets, or as a standard or repo format.
Much like a page versus a post,it’s cononical in nature and becomes relatively static,unchanging or accepted.

Certainly not short lived.

Of or relating to a general rule or standard formulas
